Yesterday, on the occasion of Śrīla Prabhupāda disappearance day, we brought one set of Śrīmad- Bhāgavatam( 18 volumes) to Centre of Khmer Studies(CKS) Siem Reap, located inside the compound of Wat Damnak Pagoda, Siem Reap riverside. This library is the most famous library in Siem Reap. This first set brought to library is donated by Dr.Khoo(devotee from Malaysia) organized by HG Jaya Rādhika Mataji(Malaysia). The set, including other 6 sets donated by other devotees (4 sets for distribution, another 2 sets will be brought to two libraries in Phnom Penh), was shipped from Malaysia to Phnom Penh and then to Siem Reap, by the kind arrangement of Bhakta Alvin Boo, Malaysian origin reside in Phnom Penh. Due to restriction, this library is just open for public since last Nov 3rd, and we came there yesterday. We briefly introducing the books on technicality and also on its position as the natural commentary on Vedānta Sutra, as a mature fruit of Vedic literatures.
This book will be benefiting the reader spiritually and also give authentic information about pastimes of the Lord and pastimes great devotees of the Lord. These pastimes are actually depicted in many ancient temples of Cambodia. Many people including tourist guide, academician, historian, which usually describing the pastimes depicted without deep devotional explanation , has no clear information or even wrong information. Śrīla Prabhupāda who is always present in his teaching including this edition of amala-purana is really a blessing to those who will come to read this edition by arrangement of devotees. We thank to all devotees involved in these efforts of spreading Śrīla Prabhupāda books on this very auspicious month of Lord Damodara.
