Fruits Harvesting

During the month of April we got many mangoes, and jackfruits, pineapples. We brought some to center in the town.  Jackfruits had been cooked for sweet and distributed to the resident families at the farm.

Prasadam distribution

HH Bhakti Raghava Swami Maharaja encourages us to distribute every week, and it should be healthy food.  We distribute cookies regularly, and sometime sweet, or rice sabji, and now we would like to start it more often.  Prasadam and chanting Hare Krishna help them a lot.  We are hoping that one resident man, who already chant 4-5 round daily, can keep doing it by getting special prasadam.

Temple Construction

The roof of the building is done.  We are now making the base.  Two brahmacaries work 4 days a week for finishing the brick base.  The family are helping to put the soil.  On full moon, they like to do it from evening till night time.  Sometime the boy from neighbor come and help also.   Later on, we will extend the roof of building to avoid the rainwater coming in.

Planting season

This month is the beginning of rainy season.  We start clean the land to grow rice, some cucumber, and some tapioca. We also grow some vegetable seeds, like morning glories, palak, and pumpkin.  Spinach are growing again a lot. Then we grow more fruits trees, like orange, and guava.  We also plant some flowers on the side of the construction.

Bhakta Boys Training

We want to accommodate villager’s boy to have experience and training in our base camp.  In the future they might be interested to be fulltime in the project, by Krishna mercy.  They will stay two or three days at the base camp.  In this period of time they will learn japa meditation, visiting Angkor Wat, learn kirtan, learn to play music, and etc.  Our friend has translated the kirtan song to Khmer so the boys, can read them also while kirtan is going on.
